I have used this thing to use my laptop in very long car rides. I was even able to tether my cell phone's internet to my laptop to give my computer Internet access, too. It makes a long road trip fly by. It also made a camping trip easier when I had this to blow up an air mattress for me.
Some reviews have complained that it's not a true sine wave. I have not had any issues, however. Most electronic devices run just fine on a modified sine wave. I recommend it :)
